Camilla d’Errico is a product of her split heritage: Italian feistiness and Canadian politeness. Growing up, she was more often doodling sexy damsels and dragons on her textbooks than reading them. After attending her first San Diego Comic Con in 1998, she found her calling. D’Errico’s futuristic feminine style is uniquely her own and has led to relationships with clients as diverse as Hasbro, Disney, Sanrio, Neil Gaiman. Her own properties, Tanpopo and Helmetgirls, are loved by fans and followers who often cosplay her characters.
D’Errico has merchandised and licensed her beautiful artwork across a variety of categories, including clothing, stationery, gifts, accessories and art prints, and she continues to expand her licensing program. Her emotive and eloquent paintings—rendered in oils, acrylic, ink and sometimes with digital coloring—are shown in galleries worldwide. These days, Camilla D’Errico gets her daily dosage of manga, anime and green tea lattes in Canada and while traveling to conventions worldwide.
